SubsequentlyFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaAbstract Self Portrait Photo-edited SelfieHello, I am Neal Hobart Wright, often stated as Neal H. Wright and typically my photographic art work will bear my abbreviated signature as a handwritten digital or original signature as "N.H. Wright" My intentions for writing this short autobiography summary is to provide some background about myself as an photographic artist to any who may be curious. Humbly, I'm considered an artistic photographer by many followers on current social media's and by friends and selective photo art collectors. My photographic art started at approximately my age 12 years and has continued for decades. The present vast majority of my photographic images were created in traditional negative film format cameras and I am gradually converting those images to digital images to enable publications on the internet. Since approximately 2001 I also began utilizing digital cameras. My artistic photography includes scenics, architecture, aerial, water scapes, abstracts, montages, romantic compositions, nature photography, floral and botanical and portraits. Earlier works were produced primarily by photo chemical darkroom work in black and white and color however, presently I use a large variety of photo editing softwares some being as old as approximately 2000. In the past I have extensively photographed New England USA and have some published images including numerous contributions published in the Brookline High School SWS 1974 Yearbook. Presently, I have posted approximately 125 photo art images on Instagram and shared to Facebook and also have images on TikTok and other social media;'s. In addition to strictly artistic creative photographer I have previously and currently produce commercial advertising photographic art on a limited basis for food products, Jewelers, furniture manufacturers, Bioscience instrumentation manufacturers and other commercial businesses. Additionally, through my first company Amphotech Photographics I provided wedding, portrait and social function photography services, and live music concert freelance press photography for local news publications. In the 1970s and 1980s I gradually began to exhibit my art photography in a number of art galleries in Boston Massachusetts and surrounding areas and increasingly worked producing commercial art for clients. Recently, In September 2023 I have started a new photo art gallery website with the url web address of http://www.NealWrightPhotography.com but I have also made a shorter web address url of www.Neals-photoArt.com. At the same time I am learning about and applying Search Engine Optimization methods and I shortly plan to create an ongoing photographic art and photographics blog. My now deceased mother made it a point to bring me as a child several times weekly to many art museums especially the Boston Fine Arts Museum and The "Isabel Stuart Gardner Museum" in Boston for many years several times weekly showing me and teaching me of many artist painters. Historically, I was born in Washington DC USA February 24th, 1954 and I have lived in Arizona, Maryland, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. The majority of my life I have lived in Massachusetts including western Massachusetts, the South Shore Cape Cod, and on the North Shore. My international travels include to Canada, St. Johns New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Alaska, California, Hawaii, Japan, South Korea. My many photographic images have been created in all of those locations for decades. Presently in September 2023 I reside on the Massachusetts North Shore. It is my hope that my photographic art will become recognized and appreciated while bringing images of the beauty of life and nature and to express creatively for the enjoyment of all to achieve my legacy as an artist. Although, I had a very busy career in medical diagnostic sciences and BioScience BioMedical Biotech Biopharma and academic research I continued to create photo art for decades and now that I am retired retired I can concentrate on my bringing my historic art work images and my new photography art work to the public through the internet and social media postings and at my photographic art website. It is my hope that many will find time to enjoy my photo art work as I continue to enable increased internet availability. Best Wishes for your Enjoyment, Neal , I worked as a freelance photographer for local pop music magazines while continuing my creative photography.
In the late 1970's I started a photographic business for portrait, weddings, functions photography and continued my creative photography and began exhibiting creative art photography in Boston art galleries while participating in the annual Brookline Arts festivals, and the Boston Home Shows.
My freelance photography work expanded to include Biomedical diagnostic systems illustrative photography for Avan Micromedia Medical Diagnostic Microbiology Systems. Lincoln Juice Company and several Boston Medical Centers.
In the 1990s my commercial photography was primarily for bioscience biomedical biotech biopharma high tech instrumentation systems internet marketing website content.
These commercial art ventures subsidized my continual creative art photography much of which was in medium format and 35mm format film media that has been stored over the decades in a dessicated moisture proof fireproof safe including significant film that was developed but never printed and includes images from my worldly travels. Presently, I am converting all film images to high resolution digital format and continuing to create new digital photographic art. The big difference now is that old standard chemical darkroom processing is now replaced by much safer digital photo editing.
Now retired I am rediscovering my love of creative photography and realizing the impact graphic images and visual appreciations it can bring to others highlighting the beauty of life.
While I feel the challenge to document and bring attention to the opposite of beauty, the unpleasant disturbing reality of human suffering and the damages of pollution to nature and life from seemingly out of control environmental destruction.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
